Finally Made It To Columbia Maryland

Goodbye Idaho hello Maryland. Wow let me tell you that we had quite the moving experience this time. Since neither Justin or I wanted to drive across country the government packed us up and moved everything for us which was nice and they even moved our car. This move we definitely hit some bumps in the road for sure. So the moving truck was suppose to come on Thursday September 22nd, well with the government moving us they were suppose to call us to see how much stuff we had and how much it was going to weigh I hadn't heard from them yet so I had Justin call them to see what was going on, they claimed that they never got our paperwork so we had to submit everything again. After we submitted the paperwork the moving company wanted to know if there was a way they could come on Saturday instead. That was not going to happen since our lease to the apartment ended on Saturday. Then they wanted to know if we could move our belongings to a storage shed are you kidding me? Justin was like um no that will not work because our plane leaves on Saturday morning and you guys are scheduled to come Thursday. They said that they could be at our apartment on Friday. So they came on Friday packed everything up and left. We ended up staying in a hotel on Friday night so that we could get a good nights rest. The other best thing of the government moving you is that you can have the choice of driving over or they will pay for airline tickets, awesome so we told them that we wanted to fly. So we had the flight scheduled for Saturday September 24th, we thought it was scheduled for Saturday but the travel company booked our tickets for the Friday morning so we totally missed our flight. That Friday night I had a feeling that Justin should check us in online for our flight and that is how we discovered that the flight was booked wrong. The travel company was closed now so we had to call Delta and gets things worked out. Delta was very helpful and we only had to pay $40.00 for the difference of the tickets, wow I don't know how that happened and the customer service agent was shocked to. We had to fly to SLC first and than we were hoping to have direct flight from there, because the best the delta agent could do was have us fly from Boise to SLC to Detroit for a layover and then to Baltimore. We really needed the non stop from SLC to Baltimore but had to figure that out when we landed in SLC. Well luckily our flight from SLC to Detroit was delayed so we did end up with the non stop, and since our original flight was delayed we didn't have to pay for the switch fee either, all I have to say is wow we were for sure blessed in many ways. Now we landed in Baltimore at 4:19 pm and still had to make it to our apartment complex to get the keys to our apartment and they closed at 5:00 pm. So we called the office and let them know that we are going to be a little late and at first they were giving us a hard time and said they wouldn't stay but Justin told them no you need to stay we are not paying for a hotel tonight and we already paid for September's rent. They were willing to wait for us thank you so much. So that was our crazy day and now we are just waiting for our belongings to show up. Once we get things organized will take pictures and blog some more.

Last Trip to Utah Rascal Flatt's Concert

Justin and I went to Utah one last time before we move. Justin's grandma Ludlow passed away, she was a very kind and sweet lady and return to heaven with her sweetheart Dan Ludlow. Justin's mom purchased some Rascal Flatt concert tickets with some of the family mostly the girls. The concert was on Friday September 9th and the viewing and funeral were not till that Sunday and Monday. I really wanted to go to the concert but didn't think that it was going to happen. Justin and I were not planning on leaving for Utah till Saturday since we both had to work. Well I managed to let work let me work Friday morning only and I headed down to Utah that afternoon and got the the concert just in time. The concert was so awesome and was really fun to hang out with his mom, sisters, aunts and cousins. You might be wondering how is Justin going to get down to Utah, well you see Justin has his Honda Civic that we are selling to my brother in law so that we don't have to pay for both our cars to be moved across the country. So Justin came down on Saturday morning and arrived at my parents house around lunch time. My parents wanted to take us out lunch and we went to Famous Daves BBQ love that place. After lunch we went down to Orem to hang out with Justin's family and get everything ready for the next couple of days. That night we went to dinner with the his family and Grandma and Grandpa Judd came up from Las Vegas, it was good to see them before the move. Next day was the viewing and my family was so nice to make the drive down and come to the viewing. After the viewing was over my family came over the the in laws and we had left over cafe rio from earlier that day and ice cream. Soon after that we went to bed because we needed to get up pretty early for the funeral the next day. Monday went very smooth and was a nice day for the family, the weather even turned out to be a nice day. Tuesday was the day that we headed back home to Boise to get ready for the big move that was happening at the end of the month. You are probably wondering were we are moving to!!! Justin got the clearance for that government job so we are going to Columbia, Maryland. I will post about that later after the move and when we get settled.

Little Vacation to McCall

This past weekend we got the chance to go to McCall and hang out with Justin's cousins. I had never been up to McCall but Justin had when he was little and went with his cousin's a lot. We figured we would go since we only lived a few hours away. His aunt and uncle rented a house on the lake, it was so pretty up there and we really had a great time with the cousins. They also have a boat but the day we got up to the lake the boat had a issue so we ended up not boating but that was fine cause we really like just hanging out with the family. Even though it was a short trip we had tons of fun walking around and enjoying the nature.

Justin's Cousin is Home From Her Mission

So we just got back from Utah exactly two weeks ago. Yes we are down here again for a Missionary Homecoming. Justin's Cousin Caity has returned from the Spain, Madrid Mission. We both were excited to see her. We did come down on that Friday and stayed at Justin's parents house and hung out with them again on Saturday, they took us out to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen YUMMY!!! Sunday was Caity's Homecoming talk and she did a really good job. Afterwards we went the the house and some YUMMY food and was able to talk to her when she had time. Everybody wanted to talk to her. But Caity's familly was coming up to McCall, Idaho that following week and invited us to come up since we did live close to McCall. We came home that Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the trip. The next trip we will be going on this coming weekend is going to McCall.

Afterwards we headed down to orem to stay the night at his parents house and get a chance to hang out with them. The next day we had a cousin baby blessing to attend in provo. Justin's cousin Jenny had a baby girl and she is very cute. That night we headed home and had a fun weekend. Ok so I only have pictures from the lunch for my dad's birthday. The last picture shown here is the Brigham City Temple, of course it is beautiful and in a way reminds me of the Salt Lake City Temple.

My trip to Utah

My sister Raquel and her daughter Ivy
I finally got to take a week trip to Utah and visit some family and friends. Justin was not able to go due to work I got to go by myself. Couple days before my mom and my sister and her twin boys come up for a quick trip to see me and than I rode back with them to Utah. We left Friday morning July 8th. Last year my parents decided to get a boat so that my dad could use it to go fishing but I think my sisters and parents use it more for going boating, tubing. wake boarding. That Saturday the 9th I wanted to go boating so we got the boat ready to take out to the lake. My whole family was able to come with me except of course Justin and a couple of my sisters were not able to make it. I was debating on taking my camera but really didn't want to get it wet sorry no pictures of the boat trip. Monday it was Justin's twin sister's birthday. So I met up with them and Justin's parent's for dinner went to Texas Roadhouse. Through out the week my mom and I watched the kids and had fun enjoying everybody that I visited. The kids did get a chance to get in the kiddie pool that my mom bought for the kids and they loved that. We also went and played miniature golf at cherry hills. Wow that place has a changed a lot since the last time I had played there, and again I was terrible at taking pictures this trip I was having so much fun. But I did get some of the kids playing outside in the pool. At the end of the month Justin and I are going to Utah for a wedding and my dad's birthday so I will get pictures for that. Well I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Hopefully not to boring for reading.

Fourth of July

So this fourth of July we actually ended up doing something together. Last year when we lived in Utah Justin ended up working on the Fourth of July. This year we went on a hike with some friends Tim and Annie they are from Arizona. Justin and I originally didn't have anything scheduled and our friends did have some plans with some family up in the area but they were free during the day. So they invited us to go on a hike with them which was fun but very hot seeing how we decided to go right at noon. The view from the hike was really nice and got some great views of downtown Boise. Afterwards we decided to go to the Old State Penitentiary jailhouse and took a tour it was really interesting place to learn about. We than packed lunches and found a park and enjoyed the nature around us. Later that night we both really tired and didn't feel like going to fireworks I know who doesn't see fireworks. But we did watch them on the T.V. which was nice cause we didn't have to fight the crowds and be in traffic.
